At Henning Memorial, our Adults Ministry is all about helping people grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and with one another. No matter where you are in your faith journey, there is a place for you here to learn, connect, and be encouraged.

Rooted in our mission to create empowered disciples of Christ, our adult ministries are shaped by three guiding principles:

Building Relationships

Faith was never meant to be lived alone. Through small groups, Sunday school classes, and fellowship opportunities, we create spaces where authentic connections can grow and lasting friendships are formed.

Nurturing Our Community

We believe spiritual growth happens when we walk alongside one another. Our adult ministries offer opportunities for Bible study, prayer, and meaningful conversations that strengthen our faith and equip us to serve.

As we grow in Christ, we are called to live out our faith in everyday life. Whether at home, at work, or in the community, we encourage one another to reflect God’s love through our words and actions.

Sunday School

Ready to rethink what “Sunday School” means? Our Adult Sunday School isn’t about lectures, awkward silence, or feeling like you’re back in a classroom. It’s real conversations, real questions, and real growth—together.

Whether you’re brand new to faith or have been walking with God for years, this is a space where you can show up as you are, connect with others, and dig into Scripture in a way that actually sticks.



Midweek Studies

Move beyond Sunday mornings and find a midweek oasis for your soul. Our small groups and Bible studies offer a welcoming space to step away from the rush of the week, dive deeper into Scripture, and build lasting relationships.

No matter where you are on your faith journey, there is a place for you to share life and grow in community.

Mustard Seed

Space to create, time to connect. Every week, the Mustard Seed House transforms into a vibrant studio for sewing, quilting, painting, ceramics, and more.

 No matter your craft or your skill level, you’re invited to pull up a chair, share your talents, and enjoy a community of fellow creators.

Breakfast for the Tors

Once a year, our church gathers in the early morning hours to tackle a big mission: serving up a hearty, hot breakfast for the Sulphur High School football team!

It takes a village to feed a team of hungry athletes, and this annual tradition is our favorite way to show these students our support, encouragement, and hometown pride before they take the field.

Whether you are a master chef or an expert table-setter, there is a place for you in the kitchen.

Pickleball

Looking for a fun way to connect and stay active? Our Pickleball Group is all about community, laughter, and a little friendly competition—whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to the game.

Not into pickleball? No problem. We’ve got board games happening too, so there’s always a place for you to jump in, relax, and enjoy good company.

It’s less about skill level and more about showing up, making friends, and having a great time together. So grab a paddle (or borrow one of ours) and pull up a chair—there’s a spot waiting for you.
